I Love NY Official Travel App App Reviews

Its froze the first time I downloaded it. When I went to set my location it froze

This is a great app. The only problem Ive found so far is that when I try to go into settings the app crashes. I only want to allow my location is when I use the app and not allow it to constantly updated location in he background and use battery life.

Location services on at all times and when you try to shut it off in settings settings crashes. Delete.

Im in Texas, plan vacation in Oct, its Feb now. I think app would be good if I was there. App location always on cannot shut off. For that reason I deleated

I live in Cooperstown Ny and own a business here thats been operating since 1887. It wasnt listed or could be found. Didnt see an option for helping the app either.

How can we submit events and attractions that are missing?

Keeps crashing when changing the location settings to always

Every location, every tab all says nothing fits my selection. Also, location doesnt work always says Im out of state.

There are many things in this app that are out of date. Many places the app says to eat at are closed. App needs updating

This is a great app! Loving the adventure feature and cannot wait to use them all! I also really like knowing where a the great restaurants are no matter where I am in the city. I havent had a problem with location being off and only put it on when in the city as intended. My only suggestion - make this app for every major city!

Ive lived in Williamsburg for just a few months now - and I just found a bunch of new restaurants and attractions through this app! Loving it for exploring my new hood. I think itd be good for when out-of-town friends come to visit too!

This app is user friendly and full of information on what to see and where to stay. It is a great addition to any "trip to New York" planning activities. It has some ideas on what to see that you may not ordinarily think of without the app. I recommend it. Linda E.

Wants to use location services all the time, even when youre not using it. And you cant change it in settings... Just craps out when you try.

I really ❤️ this app until I tried opening it and it just crashed! Uninstalled then reinstalled, same thing? It just wont open. When it worked it was a very helpful and informative app that I found myself using often. Pretty disappointed now that I cant. Hope it can be fixed.

One of the best travel apps. Really easy way to see what there is to do in the state!

I expected more from this app it was not the best thing ever but was fully functional and easy to use

The design is clean and easy to use. However, it is hard for me to find something in NY that I would explore because the location settings default to current location and the search radius is too broad. If I go to change the location, it still defaults to current which is somewhere else in NY. It would be nice if there were a settings section where I could set the location and a search for a smaller radius than 25mi, especially for places like Brooklyn or Manhattan. There is just way too much to filter through and with the location defaulting to my location elsewhere in New York, it makes it impossible to get a suggestion that is relevant to my location and preferences. You can live in NY your whole life and never know everything it has to offer. A lot of locals would love to explore more, but this app would need to be more customizable in its search options. Maybe an option to search by date for festivals too? (is there one already?) Anyway, great app, but I think the user needs more control to get to a suggestion that they would actually explore.

I cant even open the app. It goes to the "I❤️NY" screen then crashes every time. It has potential (I think), so Ill keep it for now.

I downloaded this app once again hoping it would now work, guess I was wrong. Went to find events in my area and when I went to look through the events, it wouldnt let me change events. When tapped on a new event, the previous one I just looked at, kept coming up. They really messed this app when they changed it from the original one. Hope they can get it right,
